Our City

Whether you are relocating or expanding your business, Chattanooga is a business positive city.
Over the past 12 years, the area has blossomed from a city in steep decline to one that attracts over 10 million visitors annually.

Chattanooga's renaissance has
gained national attention for projects including:

The Tennessee Aquarium, the world's largest freshwater aquarium, which hosts over one million visitors annually.

Ross's Landing Park and Plaza
, which surrounds the Aquarium and the Tennessee Riverpark, a system of riverfront trails, fishing piers and picnic facilities along the 22-mile Tennessee River corridor in Hamilton County.

Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival, recognized as one of the top ten festivals in the country, attracts more than 500,000 people during its nine-day run.

Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Military Park, the nation's first and oldest Civil War Battlefield.

The Creative Discovery Museum, an interactive children's museum.

Bluff View Arts District (Chattanooga's "Little Italy"), boasting fine art galleries and restaurants.

Coolidge Park, a six-acre greensward centered around an antique carousel on the revitalized north shore of the River.

The Hunter Museum of American Art, the Association for Visual Artists and the many galleries clustered in the Bluff View Arts District and near Coolidge Park testify to Chattanooga's rank as number one in the nation in per-capita giving to the arts.

Chattanooga Chew Chew Canine Park,
Chattanooga's only dog park.

Chattanooga is experiencing a record construction boom and making unprecedented efforts to boost economic growth. These efforts are not going unnoticed. In its February 2000 issue, Expansion Management Magazine named Chattanooga one of the nation's 50 Hottest Cities for attracting business. A panel of national site selection consultants ranked Chattanooga 37th, ahead of such cities as Seattle, Chicago and Orlando. The city received high marks for positive, pro-business relationships between the public and private sectors, and for the high quality of life residents enjoy.
